For over four decades, Karen has been a dynamic presence in the art world, masterfully navigating the realms of acrylic and oil painting.  Her creative journey is rooted in a deep fascination with light and shadow, the interplay of color and the subtle nuances of form.  While Karen’s been trained in different mediums she’s found a deep connection to abstract paintings.  She loves how it communicates so much of the artist to the audience.  Her love for oils also continues to resonate on canvas from time to time.  Art has always been her passion, but sharing it with youth is pure joy.  She loves helping them explore their creativity, dream big and see the world in color.  

Karen believes that confining creativity to a single medium limits its potential.  Her diverse use of materials allows each concept to take on its own unique voice, reflecting both versatility and a deep respect for the artistic process.  This freedom fuels her exploration, ensuring that each work stands as an authentic expression of the moment in which it was created.
